Autel Robotics at CES 2021 Recap - Drone products debut overseas

On January 11, the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicked off — but unlike previous years, this year's CES was an online exhibition due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, it still attracted about 1,000 exhibitors from around the world. UAV manufacturer Autel Robotics also brought its full line of flagship UAV products, showcasing its innovative technology.

This year, CES consisted mainly of scheduled conferences and online exhibitions. Access to these was made possible via reserved meetings, enabling media and customers to get insight about the latest Autel Robotics products and offerings.

One of the most eye-catching products at the exhibition was the latest tilt-rotor drone Dragonfish showcased by Autel Robotics. The Dragonfish’s tilt rotor design simplifies operation and maximizes performance and efficiency. With no complicated moving parts, the Dragonfish is modular, waterproof, smart and reliable. The aircraft is mission ready right out of the box and includes powerful AI tracking capabilities and a multitude of modular payload options. An endurance of 120 mins (including payload) further augments the Dragonfish's robust mission capabilities and pushes it significantly ahead against other VTOL competition. The Dragonfish comes with a variety of payload options that can be changed rapidly to suit mission needs or to offer future expandability and versatility. This powerful platform offers modular payload options, giving it the flexibility to excel in a wide range of applications such as public safety, fire fighting and prevention, traffic monitoring and management, coastal overwatch and security, agriculture, and energy.

The EVO II RTK series is another Autel drone which attracted much attention. This series embodies the same flight platform as the EVO II series. It is also recognized by the industry for being the world’s first foldable and portable drone with an RTK module, offering centimeter-level positioning accuracy.

If that’s not enough, Autel Robotics showcased the EVO II Dual 640T, the world’s first high-resolution thermal imaging drone that is both portable and foldable. Its built-in high-resolution thermal imaging camera has a temperature measurement accuracy of ±3°C; a central temperature measurement and pointer. The aircraft also boasts a suite of temperature measurement features and capabilities such as regional temperature, temperature alarm, isotherm, and graphic enhancements. To further augment user operation and data analysis, Autel Robotics has also developed a free temperature measurement analysis tool for the EVO II Dual 640T.

Besides aircraft, other products that appeared at CES also included megaphones, night lights, searchlights and other accessories, which increased the expansibility of the products and became the focus of the exhibition area.

The megaphone is capable of real-time broadcasting, recording and playback. Compact yet powerful, it can transmit voice audio which can be heard clearly from 100 meters away.

Capable of rapid voice transmission, the megaphone can be utilized in an array of mission scenarios, be it traffic law enforcement, evacuation of crowds, emergency rescue and more.

The night lights augment the aircraft's position and visibility within a range of 5,000 meters, aiding operators to be better able to determine the aircraft’s flight position when performing tasks at night, while also adhering to the compliance regulations for night operations in some areas.

The searchlight has a 30-meter illumination range, which can help increase the illumination when performing night-time inspections, assist with photo or video capturing at night, facilitate timely handling of night emergencies, and help improve emergency response operations and procedures.

Last but not least - the EVO II Series is Autel’s flagship drone that was first launched at CES 2020. It also made an additional appearance at this year's CES, attracting the attention of many technology enthusiasts at the exhibition. The EVO II is the world's first drone capable of shooting 8K ultra-high-definition images.

The EVO II Pro is equipped with the new generation of Sony's 20-megapixel ultra-sensitive CMOS image sensors, which supports video resolutions up to 6K. The design and ultra-high resolution capability makes this drone highly sought among aerial photography enthusiasts.

CES, which has a history of half a century, is one of the world's largest tech trade shows and events that provides a platform for technology players around the world to showcase their innovative products and offerings on a global scale.

As a company that has always focused on driving key core technologies for drones, Autel Robotics will continue to bring more cutting-edge products, leading the development trend of the drone industry for CES audiences.
